Introducing Xaira - very brief descriptions of main function
This page offers a brief overview of some of the main functions available from the Xaira Toolbar.

What do the buttons do?
| Word Query - find words beginning with a string, find frequency, explore tags, identify lemmas |
| Phrase Query - find word or phrase |
| AddKey Query - search for word-class tags (with or without specifying a lexical item) |
| XML Query - find XML tags |
| Query Builder - use to combine more than one type of query |
| Bibliographic Data - also for browsing a text |
| Sort - on word or tag in concordance line |
| | Thin - remove selected/unselected/random concordance lines. |
| Collocation - find words, lemmas or word class tags co-occurring with search word |
| Analysis - display search result across partition as table or graph |
| | Page/Line Mode - toggle between single concordance and KWIC view |
| Format - change the text display (plain, XML, customized) |
| Scope - display more context with the Scope list |
| Partitions - use drop-down boxes to select part of corpus to search |
